What is Creapure?
Creapure® is the brand name for pure creatine monohydrate produced by AlzChem Trostberg GmbH in Germany. All their creatine products are made in their facility in Germany. They have the purest source of creatine (99.99%) on the market.
Energy and endurance in longer training sessions are a key component to why athletes supplement for creatine. Your body holds between 80 - 130 grams of creatine at one time. But you can only process about 2 percent of that daily. Thus, supplementing will help the body replenish for lost stock.

Why is Purity Important for Creatine?
Creatine Monohydrate is the most studied form of creatine and is proven to be safe and effective. However, traces of steroids, recreational drugs, and other harmful substances have been found in impure forms of creatine products. In the production process, creatine risk being produced containing undesirable by-products such as dicyandiamide (DCD) and dihydrotriazine (DHT). Pure creatine should contain no more than a few tens of parts per million (ppm) of DCD and no detectable DHT, which is potentially harmful.

The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) recommends that a creatine product should not exceed:
- DCD levels of 50 mg/kg
- DHT levels of 3 mg/kG
The average amounts of DCD and DHT in generic creatine products often exceed the levels recommended by EFSA. Due to stricter guidelines, Creapure® stands below these perimeters. It is also important to note that DHT-related compounds are suspected to cause cancer.
